Allotment Projects
Here at reVOLve we also try to do our bit with more traditional volunteering activities, as we get involved in community projects in the region. One of these includes various renovation projects which involves gardening, painting and repairing different areas.
A lot of these take place in allotments, and when the opportunity comes up we try to make it an event to educate and help young people learn new skills rather than simply free labour. Anyone who gets involved gains special recognition, and different incentives are often offered to people who are willing to muck in and help out.
A couple of our previous projects have been held at Caldwell Grange Residential Home and at Gun Hill allotments.
