REVOLVE SHOW HEART WHILE HAVING FUN

Picture
As reVOLve continue to work towards raising enough money to buy a heart defibrillator for Atherstone and North Warwickshire, a new volunteering project has arisen from the partnership with charity Heartbeat UK.

Volunteers have started to take part in several bag packing sessions, where they organise the collection bags that are posted through letterboxes across Britain to gather donations.

As an added incentive to get involved, the reVOLve team have tried to add a bit of fun to proceedings and have hosted events in Nuneaton and Bedworth that include a free picnic and fun day along with doing the work.

So far the days have been a great success with tens of young people helping the charity as well as having a great time themselves.

reVOLve worker Chris Evans said: "I never realised bag packing could be so much fun. Everyone seems to be really enjoying themselves, and it's doing the area a lot of good!"

There are plans for these sort of projects to become a more permanent fixture on reVOLve's calendar as the organisation strives to make a real difference in the community with it's volunteering.
